How To Make Vanilla Extract From Vanilla Sherry

Step 1: Finish your botttle of Vanilla Sherry.

Step 2: Split the bean in half and return to the bottle.

Step 3: Completely cover the bean with 80 proof or higher Vodka.

Step 4: Replace lid, shake well, & store in a cool dark place for 2-4 months.

Step 5: Shake bottle every few days

Use your finished homemade Vanilla Extract for all your cooking and baking needs.

After you have used 3/4 of the bottle, repeat steps and continue to refill until the flavor dissipates. You should be able to create about two bottles of the recipe.
